In other words, it cannot be Duke Nukem Forever.īut at this point it is getting a bit strange, as if they were play testing the hell out of it in order to assemble a perfect product, that would be one thing, but the game hasn't even been ANNOUNCED, and no one has any real idea if it's even been worked on in the last five years, so much is the secrecy within the company. Valve, quite simply does not release bad games, and a title as anticipated as this must live up to the hype in every way. The long delay is likely not because Valve has forgotten about their greatest hit, but rather that they want to get absolutely everything right about it for release. But fans are tired of the joke, and want answers. "Valve Time" however, is different than regular time, and it's an inside joke among fans that the company has the worst timed release schedule in the industry. That way the series doesn't fade from gamers minds, and the company manages to build excitement and anticipation for the game.īut five years is an eternity in the landscape of video game releases, and without ANY sort of news about Freeman or a Half-Life title, fans are worried that the series is getting left by the wayside in favor of new Valve hits like Portal and Left 4 Dead which have managed to be big sellers on PC and consoles. ![]() If a game isn't out yet, at the very least it's announced and on the horizon, and some sort of brief teaser trailer will be announced and shown at a major event. In this day and age of game releases, even if there is a gap between games in a series being released, there is usually some sort of pattern to it. Will it work? Who knows, but why is this an issue with Valve at all, a brand so known for pleasing its customers? The group is now organizing a plan for all its members to play Half-Life 2 this Saturday, causing it to rocket up the Steam charts and catch Valve's attention. The alleged screenshots of Valves internal project-tracking software from an anonymous source showed a 42-employee mailing group for a project called 'Half-Life 3'. Meanwhile, Valve recently confirmed that there will be no multiplayer component in Half-Life: Alyx. The game could also eventually release on for PSVR. Half-Life: Alyx is due out for PC in March, though it doesn’t currently have a more specific release date. These screenshots come from “an anonymous Valve source”, who is apparently “a person who has access to the game at random.” You can view both, the screenshots and the video below- Half-Life fans will find a couple of familiar things in those images.
